About Neverland
Welcome to Neverland Child Care Center! We are a childcare center open to everyone in the Morongo Basin. We are NOT a daycare or a preschool. Instead, we are the best of both worlds by offering preschool-like programs with the flexibility of a daycare. We provide childcare services for children from 18 months to 5 years. Neverland Child Care Center takes a whole-child approach, offering a play-based program with an Emergent Curriculum.
Neverland's dedicated team of educators comprises experienced professionals with comprehensive training in Early Childhood Education. Every member of our teaching staff has undergone thorough fingerprinting and holds current CPR certification, ensuring a safe and prepared learning environment. Moreover, our teachers actively participate in regular staff meetings and are committed to continuous professional development throughout the year, focusing on crucial areas such as de-escalation techniques and social-emotional learning. Recognizing their vital role in child safety, each teacher is a mandated reporter, legally obligated to promptly report any known or reasonably suspected instances of child abuse or neglect to the appropriate authorities.

Quality Start Program
Neverland Child Care Center has been participating in the San Bernardino Quality Start program since 2022. Quality Start San Bernardino County (QSSB) offers the highest-quality early learning experiences possible. We have a quality-star coach who comes and works with our teachers and program to improve the quality. We are also part of the Building Early Education Strategies (BEES) program through the Child Care Resource Center. We collaborate with a trained mental health consultant to train our staff and address the social and emotional needs of our students.
We accept credit cards and payments from Stage 1 and the Child Care Resource Center Subsidized programs. We offer a 10% discount to Military and Copper Mountain College students.

Our mission at Neverland Child Care Center is to provide quality childcare in a safe, nurturing educational environment that meets the needs of every child and family we serve. All our teachers at Neverland are educated in child development and participate in in-service training to provide high-quality, developmentally appropriate activities and experiences in a play-based learning environment. We assist children in developing independence, creativity, empathy, problem-solving skills, and self-regulation in fun and engaging ways that stimulate social and cognitive growth. We aim to support family life and strive to make your child, and you feel like family. We take pride in our partnership with families to bring you peace of mind knowing that your child is receiving the best care while you work or attend school.
Programs
Toddler (18 Months-3 years)
Our Toddler program provides a nurturing and stimulating environment where your child can thrive. We offer a developmentally age-appropriate curriculum designed to engage young minds and support their growth in key areas. In this class, toddlers will embark on an exciting learning journey, focusing on: *Name recognition: Helping them identify their own name and the names of their peers. *Alphabet basics: Introducing them to the foundational letters of the alphabet. *Shapes and colors: Exploring and identifying various shapes and a vibrant spectrum of colors. *Holistic development: Fostering progress across all four significant developmental domains: *Physical skills: Enhancing gross and fine motor abilities. *Social and emotional skills: Developing interpersonal connections and emotional regulation. *Cognitive skills: Encouraging problem-solving and critical thinking. *Language development: Building vocabulary and communication skills. We're committed to providing a rich and supportive experience that helps each toddler reach their full potential!
Preschool (3-5 years)
Our preschool program is designed to build a strong foundation for a successful transition to kindergarten. We provide a nurturing environment that prepares children for academic success while also developing essential social and emotional skills. Through a hands-on, play-based approach, our curriculum focuses on: Emergent Literacy: We foster early reading and writing skills through activities like phonological awareness games, letter recognition, and guided practice in writing their names. Cognitive Development: Children build foundational knowledge by engaging in activities that teach basic concepts like colors, shapes, and numbers. Social-Emotional Learning (SEL): We place a strong emphasis on helping children develop self-regulation, empathy, and positive peer relationships, providing them with the emotional tools they need to navigate the school environment successfully.
Summer Camp
Camp Neverland is our summer program that runs from June to August. This fun-packed camp offers biweekly themes with many age-appropriate engaging activities. Your child will participate in water day, movie day, scavenger hunts, and more. Shark week and our glow-in-the-dark party are some of our biggest hits.
Drop-In
Neverland Child Care is committed to supporting our community in the Morongo Basin. This includes offering our community flexible childcare with our drop-in program. A minimum of 3 hours is required. Please call 2 hours in advance for availability. All enrollment paperwork with immunizations must be turned in beforehand.
